The Story of "Blue"

Blue is my guardian angel. She has been with me from the day I was born, but it wasn’t until I began this creative and spiritual journey as an intuitive artist that Blue really made herself known to me.

One day, a small blue light appeared in front of me and I heard a small voice say “Hello”. I said “hello” too, but heard nothing in reply. The small blue light followed me everywhere for the next few days, and it grew in size until I was completely enveloped in its immensely beautiful electric blue light. I began to feel a beautiful spirit presence in the light and often heard the words, “You are loved”.

The blue light persisted and I felt a growing need to create an image of this wonderful light that had become my constant companion. I tried coloured pencils, felt tip markers, ink and even crayons, but nothing I did could came close to capturing the intensity of the electric blue light. Then, very late one night, I heard the small voice again. “Go to your computer and you will see me.” I said, “Okay – here I am… where are you?” The voice came again, “Create and you will see me.”

I opened up a blank page in my painting program and I began to put colour on the page - layer after layer until finally, Blue emerged in front of my eyes in the image that you see to the left of this story. This was the very first image that I created with help from the spirit realm.

I now know that Blue is my guardian angel, my spirit guide and my friend. Blue’s real name is Gwendolyn, but I affectionately call her “Blue” because of the intensity and beauty of the light that she shines on me whenever she is near. She was the inspiration for my first intuitive image and she guides me in every aspect of my life now. I talk to Blue every day. She is always with me, guiding me and connecting with me, in every image that I create. If you look closely, you will see that even the signature on all of my artwork reflects Blue’s constant and abiding presence.
